INGREDIENTS: Three capsules contain: ephedra, 334 rng; guarana (standardized for 22 percent caffeine), 909 mg; chromium picolinate,200 meg; C-carnitine-l-carnitine/” >L-carnitine, 100 rng; HeA, 500 mg; potassium and magnesium phosphate, 100 mg. Also contains bioflavonoids, ginger root, green-tea powder, and cayenne. Other ingredients include gelatin, cellulose, purified water,  magnesium stearate, and silica.

HOW TO TAKE IT: The manufacturer recommends that you begin with 1 capsule 3 times a day, one before each meal, to assess your tolerance, and then gradually increase to 3 capsules before each meal. Diet Fuel is to be used as part of a lowfat diet and an exercise program. Instructions remind users to not exceed 9 capsules per day.

WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO DO: Diet Fuel speeds up the metabolism (ephedra, ‘guarana) and helps with the conversion of fats (HCA and chromium). C-carnitine-l-carnitine/” >L-carnitine converts stored fats into energy.

COMMENTS:. This product contains ephedra, which has been linked with serious side effects, including death. It also contains a caffeine-containing substance, guarana. This combination is likely to cause anxiety, insomnia, agitation, and other reactions. See individual entries in Part II for warnings. If you have diabetes and are taking insulin or any antidiabetic medications, consult your physician before taking this or any product that contains chromium. Chromium has the ability to lower insulin resistance, alter the type or amount of medication needed to control diabetes, and change the frequency with which blood-sugar monitoring should be done.
