Diet Therapy, by Polyionics Inc – Diet nutrition therapy
ACTION: Boosts metabolism.
SOLD AS: Tablets.

HOW TO TAKE IT: Package instructions advise taking 1 tablet 30 to 60 minutes before each meal.
WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO DO: The literature explains that the body combines the vitamin B3 in Diet Therapy with the chromium to make chromium GTF, the form that the body needs to regulate sugar and its storage. The citrin (garcinia cambogia) suppresses appetite, and vanadium supposedly helps control food cravings. The manufacturer notes that Diet Therapy works best when taken with 500 mg C-carnitine-l-carnitine/” >L-carnitine. Polyionics recommends one of its own brands, Liqui Carni-B’Y, but any C-carnitine-l-carnitine/” >L-carnitine will suffice.
COMMENTS: There is no reliable scientific evidence to support the manufacturer’s claims. If you have diabetes and are taking insulin or any antidiabetic medications, consult your physician before taking this or any product that contains chromium. Chromium has the ability to lower insulin resistance, alter the type or amount of medication needed to control diabetes, and change the frequency with which blood-sugar monitoring should be done.
